Any type of project could be broken down into parts (Phases, Sub-Projects, etc.). Each Ticket (also known as Service Order, Work Order, Purchase Order, etc.) should be included as part of Project-Sub-Project, this way traceability could be achieved at any level (specially cost tracking). Knowing how to properly break down a project is not a complex task, and it doesn’t have to follow any special rules, it’s just what works best for you.
